Appellate Practice

After the jury verdict is in, or the motion for summary judgment ruled upon, the next step in many cases is the appeal.  Appeals involve technical brief writing and an oral argument, which entail questions on very specific issues of law, rules of evidence or rules of civil procedure, and how the facts of the case impact those issues.

Our lawyers are experienced with presenting the key points of law, and those facts that truly tell the story, to the appellate judge panels sitting in review.  The goal is to retain your victory, or properly claim it in the appellate court.

And, we are experienced and successful in Ohio’s state appellate courts, Ohio’s Supreme Court, as well as the federal appellate courts.

Our Firm has even successfully litigated a case in the United States Supreme Court of America.
